Flue gas generated from thermal power plants usually requires desulfurization and denitrification. In the wet desulfurization process unit, lime water is washed in a wet scrubber or some chemicals are added to promote reaction and absorption. After leaching, wastewater usually contains a certain amount of heavy metal ions, COD and other ingredients. There are certain difficulties in dealing with this kind of water:
High heavy metal content and high temperature;
Wastewater is acidic or alkaline;
Extremely easy to foul.
The traditional treatment process "coagulation sedimentation + filtration" can precipitate or remove most of the heavy metals and pollutants. However, due to the change in concentration, the chemical substances added in the conventional process will not react completely, which leads to fluctuation of the wasterwater treatment effect. For example, if the treated wastewater needs to be reused with UF or RO membrane technology, the PAC/PAM added during the coagulation and precipitation process will also cause serious pollution to the subsequent membrane filtration.
